My Online Journey Begins..

Thanks for joining me!

My name is Stacey and I live in Devon in the South West of the U.K. I enjoy several types of crafting, in particular paper crafting. Making things that display photographs and 3D objects are my favourite, and I am trying to learn new skills all the time.
I wouldn’t call myself a card maker… I’m not very good with stamps and embossing, however… I don’t mind occasional stamping to make embellishments. I love fussy cutting and the cards I do make are often 3D in some way, be it a pop-up or a fun fold.

I absolutely love to use Graphic 45 for a lot of my projects, although I also have a lovely collection of papers by DCWV, First Edition, a few Santoro pads and two wire racks brimming with loose random papers from here there and everywhere.  I am also a Tonic fan!  I love their dies and became quite addicted to collecting them a while ago now.  I have several manual die cutting machines, I love Sizzix, I have always had lovely cuts from my Bigshot and my bigshot plus.  I also have a sweet reliable little Cut and Make for my tiny die cutting needs.

A few years ago I bought myself a Brother Scan n Cut CM900 which has been temporarily shelved since I lost my confidence in using it.  In the near future, I would like to dust it off and have a go at a nice simple project.  So far it has only been used for lettering and basic shapes.  I am going to make it a mission to learn how to use it properly and not be so worried about making mistakes with it.

I have tried so many times to create a blog or a site to make a record of my crafting journey.  I have failed every time.  I always excuse myself telling myself it's not easy with a chronic pain condition, a toddler and a teenager to look after.  However, I always find myself coming back to wanting to make myself some kind of record and to share my passion with anyone and everyone...  So here I am... again.  This time, I hope, for the long run.

I have to apologise for my terrible writing style, an author I will never be! But if I want to do this, I need to overcome my fear of letting others see my work.
I intend to show the items I make and hopefully create some tutorials for some of my creations.  I have never made a tutorial before creating this blog, so I am hoping that these will improve over time!

Whilst I have been learning about and exploring paper crafting, I have come across creations by others that I have completely fallen in love with.  Some of these creations came with tutorials, if I upload anything that is not of my own design, I will first ask the original creators permission and then clearly state who that designer is and how to contact them should you wish to follow their tutorial too.

I hope you like what I do, feel free to comment or ask any questions, I will always do my best to reply.

Well, here goes nothing, I’m going to make and try and upload my first piece of work!

Wish me luck..

HAPPY CRAFTING EVERYONE
