Father’s Birthday

Well in a few days I have my Father’s Birthday coming up.   I am usually fairly well prepared, I go out, buy a card and a present and I’m done.   However, within the last couple of years, I have started to make the odd card here and there.   So far I have exclusively used Graphic 45’s wonderful paper collections, and I think I will probably continue to do so.   They are so beautiful and fit perfectly into any project.   With that in mind, I have made my dear Dad’s Birthday card. (Oh and his gift!)   This is something really unusual that I came across, something I instantly fell in love with, and of course wanted to change and tweak.   So I made my own version of what started as an envelope with a flattened cube contained inside of it… As you will see from the video below I have gone for a military theme.   My Dad is a military man and I thought he would quite like this.   I have tried to make the box, that is made from chipboard, as...

My Online Journey Begins..

Thanks for joining me! My name is Stacey and I live in Devon in the South West of the U.K. I enjoy several types of crafting, in particular paper crafting. Making things that display photographs and 3D objects are my favourite, and I am trying to learn new skills all the time. I wouldn’t call myself a card maker… I’m not very good with stamps and embossing, however… I don’t mind occasional stamping to make embellishments. I love fussy cutting and the cards I do make are often 3D in some way, be it a pop-up or a fun fold. I absolutely love to use Graphic 45 for a lot of my projects, although I also have a lovely collection of papers by DCWV, First Edition, a few Santoro pads and two wire racks brimming with loose random papers from here there and everywhere.  I am also a Tonic fan!  I love their dies and became quite addicted to collecting them a while ago now.  I have several manual die cutting machines, I love Sizzix, I have always had lovely cuts from my Bigsh...
